“Daily Things” depicts the absurdity and the randomness of life. The interactive website takes the
form of a to-do list to show the mechanical repetition and the irrationality of life, and the users can only click “x” to finish things. Every turn starts with “Wake up”, “Eat”, and “Go to bed”, which directly indicates the repetitive part of our life, while the things that are generated and the sudden “game over” indicate the sense of absurdity. Such an idea also resonates with the background by finishing all the routines to reveal “Maman died today” from The Stranger by Albert Camus.
